Good Morning Fam!!
I am so blessed to be able to get this email out to you this week. I don’t know about you, but my Thanksgiving was so restful and encouraging as well. Now, I may have gained a few lbs., but it was well worth it! I would love to hear about your thanksgiving, drop me an email if you’d like and share your experience with us.
So, this week’s Monday Motivation is going to be geared towards the topic of “Rest.” I know, you’re probably thinking, “but you are always about pumping people up for the week, and very interested in what we are preparing in our hearts for 2020!” And you are absolutely right…. However, one of the things that my wife and I experienced this last week was, forced rest.
Now being forced to rest is not an easy thing. If you are like me, sitting idle just isn’t the norm. I was raised in the 70’s and 80’s where my parents made us stay busy, and even if rest was in the equation, we were still busy. LOL!
My wife and I went to Colorado to spend time with our son. It was a great trip up, even though it was 12 hours one way, we still had a blast driving up there. But we had our days planned… so we thought. That next day, which was Monday morning, we hear on the morning news that Fort Collins was expecting anywhere from 12-17 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. We were like, “Uh, you’ve got to be kidding me!” But according to my son and his girlfriend, they assured us that this time of year would never get that much snow…. Nothing to worry about, right?
Well, listen to the audio, so I can tell you the whole story and what rest really did for us. And I pray that this will inspire you to want to schedule your rest as well……
