Good Morning.
It is 5:04 am, and I just read a page of this dynamic book that I am reading called, "Above the Chatter Our Words Matter", by Bruce Pulver. I had the privilege of having a great conversation with him on a podcast that I do with a friend of mine, and his story and perspective on life and the words and gifts that God gives us is amazing... I encourage you to check it out. But one of the things he talks about is "Self-Talk" and some of us refer to it as "Self-Dialogue", and here is how he broke down this word.... S elect possibility words E xclude never and can't L et go of the "No" F oster Self-Encouragement T ell yourself, "Yes, I will." A llow yourself to deserve success. L oosen performance-pressure words K eep the conversation uplifting Right, I know what you may be thinking, wow! And we are absolutely right, wow! Too many times we are focused on the negative in our minds that may have occurred in our childhood, school... maybe you went through some serious peer pressure, bullying or just didn't feel accepted. These thoughts can literally destroy our future, because we are allowing those words and thoughts control and lead us as we speak those into our everyday lives. And where I would like to land is on the letter "A" This was and is an area of my life that I had and have to remind myself that I do deserve success. I do deserve better with the work that I have put into play. Now, please don't think I am saying to have "entitlement" but truth is, if i put in the work as a visionary, coach, speaker and pastor... then I deserve the blessing that comes with that. You have that same capability to earn more, speak more and be willing to succeed more. And one of the things that I have learned over the years is that I and You have to work for the success we believe we ought to receive. Listen, God wants you to build yourself up! He wants you to understand that in life everything has balance and needs you to perform the exact tasks that He equipped you with. And the other area that I would like to point out in your life is that not everyone has a calling to be that huge entrepreneur, and that is OK! Give yourself permission to be the biggest smallest person you have ever known, only do it with the intent to please your Heavenly Father in the process. And.... you knew there was one more point.... LOL. Give yourself permission to want more than being the smallest person. Get up from the sidelines and go after something greater than your fears of actually succeeding. Have you done it yet? Well what are you waiting for.
